Do you hunger and thirst after the Kingdom of God? In John 6:1-15, Jesus teaches His disciples to trust in Him in order to desire the things of God. He multiplies the offering by giving thanks to God for what He is about to do. This miracle is the only one, other than the resurrection, to be recoreded in all 4 Gospels. So, it is evident of the significance of this gathering of hungry followers.
Jesus multiplies the 2 fish and 5 loaves, He meets the needs of the crowd, and His name is magnified so much that He is given the title of Prophet. Of course Jesus was no prophet, He was the the Son of the Almighty! He walked on water, He healed the sick, He fed crowds with miraculous multiplication, and He conquered death by defeating it on the Cross!
