My Wife

Today, I want to dedicate this post to my lovely bride Mrs. Luz Esther Floyd, aka Lucy.

In 1982, I was a junior in High School, headed for the military after graduation in 1983. During the summer between my junior and senior years, I met a young lady named Lucy. She was the cutest, sweetest, girl I had ever met. She was bold enough to give my her phone number, and we began a journey together that has continued for 32 plus years. On May 24, of 1983, we were married as Mr. & Mrs. Floyd.

I have to say that our marriage is as strong today as it ever has been. It hasn’t happened by accident. We work hard at spending quality time together as a couple. As we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary back in 2008, we went to the mountains in New Mexico. As we spent time shopping, we were asked if we were on our honeymoon. What a compliment. We had been married 25 years, and to the average onlooker, we appeared to be newlyweds.

Lucy and I are privileged to be the proud parents of 3 children, and 3 grandchildren (1 is on the way).

I want to say to my wife, apart from Christ, you are the best thing that happened in my life. You have loved me unconditionally, and for that you are awesome! Thank you for all of you support, love, and partnership during our years together in marriage, ministry, and life. I look forward to our next phase of life together. I love you always.

Happy Mother’s Day. You are a great mom to our children!
