Holy Week-Palm Sunday

Today begins the greatest story ever told in the history of mankind. With television depictions, church sermons, choir music, and yes even those that don’t believe Jesus is King, participate in this the week known as Holy WEEK! Palm Sunday is recognized in all 4 gospels. Matthew 21, Mark 11, Luke 19, and John 12, all give their vantage points of what was seen on the road through Jerusalem.

Jesus is heralded a political King so that He can free the people from the Roman Empire. Really? As I watched Dr. Romatrel, of FBC El Paso say, they had their own agenda when it came to deciding who Jesus was for them. They totally missed the purpose of Jesus’ entry. Jesus came to Jerusalem to be the Savior and Messiah of the world! He has never been a political pawn, a good teacher, or a prophet. He has always been the King of kings, and Lord of lords.

When you think about the triumphal entry of Jesus into your life, who is He to you? Did He truly become your King? Did He save you from your sins, or are you still trying to work them off? Jesus can be who is really supposed to be if you personally accept Him for who He is: The Savior of the world.

John 3:16-17 says this: 16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

Stay in the Light, 1 John 1:7,
